Radio Communications is a key part of aviation.

The Radio Operators Certificate of Competence is the licence required to operate the ground radio at some airfields, to allow information to be passed to and received from pilots. This course provides the necessary knowledge and training to allow a person with zero aviation knowledge to pass the necessary examinations to hold an Air Ground Communications Service (AGCS) Radio Operators Certificate of Competence (ROCC).

At the end of this course, you'll have a thorough grounding in the relevant aspects of the subject matter that you will use in your everyday operation of the ground radio at an airfield.

You will need to pass a paper written (long-hand) examination and also have to undertake and pass the AGCS ROCC Practical (oral) Examination with an AGCS Examiner. This course prepares you for both of these exams exceptionally well.

You won't be able to practice the verbal communication part in real life (it's a mandatory requirement to hold a licence to talk on the ground radio - there are no exemptions for people under training).
